Turnpike Stadium was built in 1965 for AA baseball with a capacity of 10,000. In order to land an MLB team for Dallas/Fort Worth, the park needed to be expanded. This rendering shows the addition of an upper deck and near-complete enclosure. Though the park (re-named Arlington Stadium) was eventually expanded to 35,700 for MLB, it was never done in this form.
