This concept was on the boards for St. Petersburg in 1983. It seems to be located at the Tropicana Field location, but instead of a full dome, it had a fabric “tent” like dome supported by the upper deck, steel supports and fastened to the ground. The concept was rejected by local officials that wanted a fully indoor stadium to host events besides baseball.
