This study for a renovated Cinergy Field was conducted by HOK Sport in 1994 and floated in 1997 by Reds management as an alternative to a new stadium. The study called for a renovated exterior to take away from the stadium’s bowl-like looks, turning the orientation of the field for a skyline view and demolition of the outfield upper decks. As there wasn’t much support for this plan, it was never considered seriously.
