The Las Vegas National Sports Center, designed by 360 Architecture, was proposed in early 2011. The three stadium downtown Las Vegas complex was planned to have a baserball stadium expandable to 36,000 for MLB, a football stadium expandable to 75,000 for NFL and a 17,500 seat arena. The original plan was to have the Las Vegas 51's AAA team play there until the city gained an MLB team. Developers failed to close necessary contracts in Las Vegas and the project fell through. A smaller version of the plan is now being pursued in Henderson, NV.
